West Ham United will be making a short-term contract offer to Jesse Lingard this week.
The Hammers are ready to bring back the former Manchester United attacking midfielder, per The Mail.
Lingard, who had a successful half-year loan spell at West Ham a few years ago, is without a club.
The attacker failed to impress at Nottingham Forest last season, with his contract expiring this summer.
Lingard has been training with West Ham to keep up his fitness and appears to have sufficiently impressed.
Manager David Moyes is happy to sign the player, but wants to ensure Lingard is committed.
