West Ham to hand skipper Mark Noble new contract

West Ham intend to hand skipper Mark Noble a new contract.

Noble has been the victim of Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek's excellent performances for the high-flying Hammers, who also signed attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard on loan from Manchester United in January to limit the 33-year-old's game-time even further.

TalkSPORT says Noble has put pen to paper on a new contract at the London Stadium which has been offered to him as he reacted well to being benched by Moyes.

Noble has been at West Ham for 21 years after joining as a young teenager from Arsenal in 2000. Since making his debut in the summer of 2004, the midfielder has gone on to make 520 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers.

He is West Ham's all-time appearance maker in the Premier League and was appointed as club captain in the summer of 2015 when Slaven Bilic was manager.
