West Ham striker Javier Hernandez wanted back at Guadalajara

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez is being linked with a return to Mexico.

Sky Sports says FC Guadalajara are eager to ferry Chicharito home in the coming days.

The Mexico international, who played for Guadalajara and Chivas before leaving for Manchester United, has less than a year to run on his current deal.

Chicharito has stated he is unsettled at London stadium, where he is regarded as only a bit-part player.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini, however, stated in preseason: “Javier [Hernandez] is a penalty box player and he always scores ten or 12 goals every season, whereas Sebastien [Haller] is a player who works more into the space and with the ball.

“When you play with a striker like Javier, who scores so many goals, you have to create a lot of chances and he will score. With Sebastien, he is a mixed player and he also scores a lot so, for me, I am happy with both of them."
