The Hammers and England frontman has gone through with an ankle surgery, which will see him out for the foreseeable future.
The 30-year-old has experienced issues with his ankle for months, finally deciding it was time to go under the knife.
Carroll struggled for game time and fitness all season, only managing to play in 14 games in every competition.
He scored a single goal all term.
