West Ham striker Antonio: I want my goalscoring record to stay for very long time

West Ham striker Michail Antonio is determined to build on his club goalscoring record.

The 32-year-old overtook Paolo Di Canio as the club's record goalscorer in Premier League competition in August and has since taken that tally up to 54.

While the Jamaican international's form has tailed off since, Antonio remains a hugely important figure in David Moyes' first-team, starting 28 of the club's 30 Premier League games thus far.

In a video posted on the club's official website of Antonio talking about his backstory, he said: “When I started playing here, I didn't even know what the record was.

“I didn't even think about it, it was just about me playing games, trying to get games.

“Now I've achieved this, I'm going to keep scoring goals and make that distance as far as I can, so it'll be a very long time before anyone can catch me."
