West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan says victory over Fulham was inspired by new signings Andy Carroll and Yossi Benayoun.

Both players arrived on deadline day.

Nolan said: "Getting the big lad in and Yossi has given everyone a huge lift.

"Andy's a great lad. I get on well with him and when I knew he was coming down I was excited and chuffed. We are so lucky to get him. I told him he has nothing to prove to anyone. He is a top striker.

"I was confident at the beginning of the campaign. I knew pre-season we would get new players in and I am delighted with the quality."
