West Ham set to offer David Moyes new terms

West Ham United are set to offer manager David Moyes new terms.

The Scotsman has overseen five victories from 10 matches played so far, with the Hammers sitting in fifth place in the table as a result.

Moyes' current deal is set to expire next summer once the end of the season arrives and West Ham are keen to ensure he remains on board past that point, says Sky Sports.

The east London club are looking to learn from mistakes made previously, after Moyes saved the club from relegation during his last tenure in 2017 but was not retained in the aftermath.

The 57-year-old previously arrived as the club was at rock bottom following the demise of Slaven Bilic's reign, but was not offered an extension despite salvaging the club's top flight status.

Moyes was replaced by former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini in May 2018, whose ill-fated time in charge saw him axed last December, paving the way for Moyes' return.
