West Ham United are keen to re-sign Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand.
The Mail on Sunday says Ferdinand is out of contract with Manchester United and despite the managerial change still looks set to leave the club.
The ex-England international intends to eventually settle back in the south and has a mansion in the London/Kent border.
A swansong with the Hammers, the club where he started his career, could suit both parties.
