West Ham's Zarate set to link up with QPR

West Ham United striker Mauro Zarate is set to join QPR on loan according to reports.

The 27-year old Argentine has managed just eight appearances for the Hammers since moving from Velez Sarsfield in the summer and is now expected to move across London to Loftus Road in January.

Goal.com reports that Zarate will undergo a medical with the R's on Tuesday before spending the remainder of the 2014/15 campaign under Harry Redknapp.

Zarate, who recently elected to play internationally with Chile, has found it hard to force his way into Sam Allardyce's West Ham side with in-form strikers Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia keeping him on the subs bench.
