West Ham plot loan move for Atletico Madrid striker Jimenez

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is looking to bring a new face to the Hammers in the form of Atletico Madrid striker Raul Jimenez.

The Mexican striker only featured five times for the Spanish club last season and Bilic believes that he may be able to secure the player on loan.

Bilic is said to be concerned with the lack of strikers at the east London club and sees Jimenez as a perfect addition to his squad.

Despite being linked with several other strikers this summer, including Fabio Borini of Liverpool, Roma´s Mattia Destro and Charlie Austin of QPR, Bilic has been unable to bring in another attacker to the club so far and hopes that Jimenez would be keen on the first team football the Hammers could provide.

Bilic is looking to offset the loss of injury-prone Andy Carroll and potential absence of Enner Valencia who appeared to sustain a serious knee problem in the Europa League qualifier with Astra Giurgiu on Thursday night.
