West Ham United are lining up an ambitious return for Liverpool fullback Glen Johnson.

The Mail on Sunday says West Ham are considering an end-of-season move for Johnson.

There seems little chance of Johnson agreeing a new deal with Liverpool, where his current contract ends in the summer.

Johnson has options abroad, but a move back to the Hammers, where he started his career before moving to Chelsea, attracts the 30-year-old.
