Liverpool's Joe Cole has snubbed a possible return to West Ham United paving the way for the East London club to move for Chelsea's Yossi Benayoun.
Goal.com reports that the Hammers enquired about a loan deal for Cole today which was rejected by the Reds midfielder who kicked off his career at Upton Park.
It is believed that Benayoun, who was also being linked with Liverpool, is now the subject of West Ham interest as Sam Allardyce looks to add to the loan signing of Andy Carroll from Anfield.
