West Ham United midfielder Kieron Dyer has virtually announced his international retirement.
The 31-year-old midfield star, who has won 33 caps, last wore the Three Lions in August 2007 against Germany.
He has since been ravaged by a succession of injuries and has now admitted he will never appear for his country again.
Dyer told talkSPORT: "I don't think I'd be in (Fabio) Capello's plans anyway, but even if I was I wouldn't want to play for England any more.
"With all my injury problems I just want to focus on playing for West Ham and focus my energies on that.
"It would be a travesty if I went away with my country and got injured after the doom and gloom I've had at this place [West Ham] for three years.
"So internationals are not for me, no chance."
