West Ham make attempt for Everton defender Michael Keane

West Ham have failed with a move for Everton defender Michael Keane.

Hammers boss David Moyes has reportedly tried to raid his former club as he searches for reinforcements, but has been unsuccessful in his bid to sign Keane.

The Toffees are also facing a centre-back injury crisis, with Ben Godfrey expected to be out for around three months after fracturing his right leg in their opening weekend loss to Chelsea.

Yerry Mina is also set for a spell on the sidelines as he suffered an ankle ligament injury against the Blues.

Conor Coady has arrived on loan from Wolves to ease Frank Lampard's worries, but his only other centre-backs are Keane, James Tarkowski and Mason Holgate.
