West Ham United are keeping tabs on Malky Mackay's situation at Watford.
The Hornets have already issued a 'hands off' warning to Newcastle United, which saw the Scot as an ideal No2 for manager Alan Pardew.
The London Evening Standard says it is also understood West Ham would be interested if they are relegated from the Premier League.
