West Ham keen on Stoke striker Crouch

West Ham United are interested in Stoke City striker Peter Crouch.

The Sentinel says Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is reported to be considering an approach for Crouch as he looks to cover Andy Carroll's long term absence.

Big money signing Carroll is expected to be out for up to four months after it was revealed he requires surgery on an ankle injury.

Allardyce is in the market for a new forward after losing Carroll to an ankle injury.
