West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has announced his interest in Barcelona midfielder Alex Song, as he prepares for a battle with Chelsea and Liverpool for the star player.
Song spent last season on loan at Upton Park, and Bilic has admitted he would like to keep the Cameroon international on at the east London club this summer.
Barcelona have given the former Arsenal ace a £6million fee, despite the fact that they paid £15million when they originally signed the player from the Gunners three years ago.
Chelsea and Liverpool have also expressed interest in the 27-year-old, but the Hammers are still intent on completing a deal.
"Although I said I'm not going to discuss players from other teams, he is somewhere in between," said Bilic when asked about the move.
"He played here on loan last year and he's a bit injured. I don't deny that he was a great player who did really well last year and I would like him to stay with us."
