West Ham United are hopeful of snaring Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi from under the noses of crosstown rivals Tottenham.
The Daily Mail is reporting the Hammers are confident Batshuayi's former teammate at the Ligue 1 club, Dimitri Payet, can help convince the Belgian to make the move to East London.
It is understood Marseille are seeking £25million for the 22-year-old, who has scored 15 goals this campaign.
Spurs are believed to be confident of signing Batshuayi based on the fact it appears likely they will be able to offer him Champions League football next season.
