West Ham haggling over Kovac fee with Spartak Moscow

West Ham United are in talks with Spartak Moscow over an outright deal for midfielder Radoslav Kovac.

The Mirror says the Czech, who scored once in 10 appearances on loan from Spartak Moscow last season, is available for £3.5million but Hammers are offering just £2m.

Manager Gianfranco Zola is also desperate to sign a new striker after Bayern Munich told him that Italy striker Luca Toni is not for sale or loan.
