West Ham United are chasing Leeds United striker Jermaine Beckford.

The People says Beckford's agents have been speaking to other clubs in the past few weeks.

The Hammers would ideally pair Beckford with Carlton Cole and are willing to take him even if they drop into the Championship.

David Sullivan and David Gold are already preparing for life after current boss Gianfranco Zola and want Beckford signed and sealed for whoever takes over the reigns at Upton Park.
