West Ham are eyeing Ajax defender Joel Veltman.

The Daily Mail says Veltman is ready to consider a move to England, with West Ham weighing up a swoop for the defender.

The 27-year-old is open to leaving Amsterdam this summer, news which will alert the Hammers who are known to be tracking Veltman.

And sources in Holland have indicted Veltman would strongly consider a switch to the Premier League this summer.

Reports in Holland also suggest a number of top clubs in Italy are also keen on the Dutch defender.
