West Ham chief Sullivan hoping two signings in two weeks

West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan expects two new signings in the next two weeks.

Senegalese midfielder Mohamed Diame, available on a free transfer from Wigan, heads West Ham's wanted list and could complete a move this week.

Manager Sam Allardyce wants a striker, with Blackburn's Yakubu, Norwich City frontman Grant Holt and Real Madrid's Spain Under-21 international Joselu all linked with the club.

"We expect to sign a player this week and next," said Sullivan. "I can't say any more at the moment though."
