Scouts from Premier League clubs were in attendance for Sporting CP's clash with Academica on the weekend.
Record says Manchester United, West Ham United, Chelsea, Queens Park Rangers and Everton all had representatives in Coimbra.
They were joined by scouts from eight other clubs across Europe as the days tick down to the transfer deadline.
Sporting won the match 2-1.
Among potential targets on show were Sporting striker Helder Postiga and fullback Andre Santos.
