West Ham United are eyeing Chelsea striker Demba Ba.
The club's co-owner David Sullivan has made a personal appeal to the former Hammers forward to return to Upton Park, according to The Sun.
Sullivan is said to have spent an hour on the phone with Ba on the last day of the summer transfer window to try to persuade him to return to East London.
However, Ba, 28, is understood to have only wanted to play for a club in the Champions League such as Arsenal.
