West Ham United captain Declan Rice has snapped back at suggestions he is not giving his all for the club.

Rice, who starred with England at the World Cup, was taunted about the club's position in the Premier League table.

West Ham are presently only a place above the relegation zone.

A post from nickb_coyi on Instagram stated “Exactly rice body language has given up," which garnered a response from the player.

Rice wrote: “Keep reading little comments like these that are, 1. Funny & 2. Complete nonsense. I would never ever give up, for the fans or for the club.

“Of course things on a football pitch get tough! But especially as captain and wearing this shirt, I know exactly what it means to play for West Ham."
