West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan has taken a swipe at Newcastle United's foreign legion.
Former Toon skipper Nolan can add to the Geordies' relegation fears today when he lines up for West Ham against Alan Pardew's French flops.
Nolan said: "When I came up with Newcastle we had 12 British lads in our squad. It certainly helped in that respect because we knew what it was all about.
"We knew how much it meant to the city.
"I'm not saying that foreigners don't care, that's so far from the truth.
"All I'm saying is they've had all their good press, it's about time they stood up and made sure they do right for Newcastle. I'm certainly hoping they do that - obviously after we play them at Upton Park."
