West Ham boss Moyes upbeat on Zouma return for AZ clash

West Ham United manager David Moyes says that his centre-back Kurt Zouma could be in line for a return to action.

Moyes was asked about the fitness situation of the French centre-back as they prepare to take on AZ Alkmaar in the Europa Conference League semi final first leg on Thursday.

Moyes stated that Zouma is 'making good progress' in his recovery from the ankle injury he suffered against Crystal Palace on 29 April.

"Kurt has had a day back, but he is just starting back really, and we are just trying to see how his ankle is and how he is getting on," said the Scot during a press conference.

"Hopefully, he is making good progress.

"It's a good chance that it is probably too soon for tomorrow, but we will see how he feels tomorrow and make a decision based on that."
