West Ham boss Moyes hoping to take advantage of Bayer Leverkusen hangovers

West Ham United manager David Moyes hopes the beers have been flowing for his upcoming opponents.

German champions Bayer Leverkusen were recently crowned after beating Werder Bremen on Sunday.

Moyes hopes that a first ever league title for the club may mean they are less than focused on the Europa League quarter-final second leg on Thursday.

"I didn't see anything from it, just read that they'd won it," Moyes said pre-game, given his side trail after the first leg.

“Rightly so, why would you not celebrate? To be the champions you should celebrate, should enjoy it because the moments go very quickly.

"I hope they've been downing those big giant glasses of beer they get in Germany!"
