West Ham United boss Avram Grant has confirmed their interest in Liverpool winger Joe Cole.

Cole has been linked with a loan return to Upton Park this month.

"About Joe Cole, I'd be happy for him to come here," said Grant. "He was my player at Chelsea, [and he had] maybe his best season then.

"He's a good lad and I like him, but he belongs to Liverpool."
