West Ham United and Birmingham City are keen to snap up Serbia defender Dusko Tosic.
The 25-year-old ended the season playing for QPR after being left in limbo by Portsmouth's financial collapse.
Tosic left Werder Bremen in January to join Portsmouth on a free transfer. He was named on the bench for their FA Cup tie against Southampton but the Premier League blocked the club from playing him in league games as one of the sanctions of their fall into administration.
Wigan showed interest and Swansea looked poised to sign him but it was QPR who eventually stepped in to sign him on loan.
Now, however, Tosic is a free agent again as his contract with Portsmouth has ended and he is eager to return to the Premier League - once he has helped Serbia in the World Cup finals.
West Ham and Birmingham are both on the look out for left backs with the Midlands side also monitoring Paul Konchesky's contract situation at Fulham.
