West Bromwich Albion have gone cold on a move for Sunderland midfielder Craig Gardner.
The Mirror says new West Brom boss Steve Clarke is set to ditch the Baggies' pursuit of Gardner after being quoted £4million.
The Black Cats are insisting on their money back for Gardner, a £4m signing from Birmingham last summer.
