Shane Long is enjoying his new strike-partnership at West Bromwich Albion with Nicolas Anelka.
The Irishman believes he has developed an instant understanding with Anelka and is excited to see whether the partnership can flourish.
"When you see him (Anelka) looking at you, you just make a run and he will find you." said Long.
"He is good to learn from and the best thing about him is he's such a nice fella for a man who has been at some of the top clubs in the world and been at the top for a long time.
"It's a learning curve for me and he's very enjoyable to play with. I think we complement each other well.
"Nico naturally wants to drop deep and get the ball short and turn and play from there and my game is to turn defenders and get in behind them.
"We have played a lot of games up front together in pre-season and hopefully it's something that the manager is thinking about for the season."
