Brown Ideye has made it clear that he was never seeking an escape route out of West Bromwich Albion this winter.
The 26-year old Nigerian striker was being linked with a £3.8million move to Qatari club Al-Gharafa in January after some mediocre form with the Baggies but he insists he was not looking to jump ship to the Middle East.
"I do not have to run to anywhere," he told the Daily Mail.
Since joining Albion from Dynamo Kyiv for £10million in the summer, Ideye has scored six goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for the West Midlands club.
