West Brom still in pursuit of QPR's Phillips

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis is hopeful of securing a deal for QPR star Matt Phillips.

The Daily Mirror reports that Albion are planning a move for the Scottish international at the end of the season, after being denied in their January pursuit.

The 24-year old has impressed for the London side in the second half of the season but is expected to leave the club if they are relegated to the Championship.

Phillips has also been linked with a move to Southampton, who see Phillips as an ideal replacement for Werder Bremen's Eljero Elia, whose loan expires in the summer.

There are also reported to be a number of other clubs interested in the former £5 million Blackpool-signing's signature.
