West Brom skipper Fletcher has fingers crossed for Brunt whose Euro2016 is now in doubt

West Bromwich Albion skipper Darren Fletcher is keeping his fingers crossed for teammate Chris Brunt after he suffered possible cruciate ligament damage in the 3-2 win against Crystal Palace on the weekend.

The 31-year-old's participation in Northern Ireland's Euro2016 campaign is in serious doubt as he waits for the scans of his injury.

Fletcher said: "We just hope that the scan proves that he's back for us soon and ready for Northern Ireland in the Euros as well.

"We care for our players and want them to do well for West Brom, but we think about other things as well. We'll wait and see with fingers crossed."
