West Bromwich Albion defender Gareth McAuley as moved to unsettle Crystal Palace ahead of the crunch fixture at Selhurst Park this weekend.
Tony Pulis brought in winger Tom Ince on loan from Blackpool, and signed goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey from Wolves, defender Scott Dann from Blackburn Rovers, midfielder Joe Ledely from Celtic and Jason Puncheon permanently from Southampton.
As the 16th-placed Baggies get set to travel to 17th-placed Palace on Saturday, McAuley believes the influx could unsettle the south Londoners.
"If you end up bringing too many new faces in, it can end up going the other way and upsetting the players that have got Palace promoted and been working away for them," he said.
"We will see how they go. We just have to concentrate on ourselves and make sure we come away with a result."
