West Brom's Brunt requests personal FA hearing

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Chris Brunt has requested a personal hearing from the Football Association.

?Sky Sports reports that Brunt is keen to challenge the improper conduct charge for alleged verbal abuse towards a match official after Saturday's 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final defeat to derby rivals Aston Villa.

?The Irishman has been accused of using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour in the tunnel after Saturday's FA Cup clash.

?Referee Anthony Taylor also sent off Albion's Claudio Yacob and Villa's Jack Grealish during the heated cup clash which was also marred by crowd troubles.

?Tony Pulis avoided from commenting on the issue at the press conference ahead of Baggies' next league game against Stoke City on Saturday.

?"That's with Richard (Garlick, director of football administration) and the powers that be," he said.

?"That's in the if, buts and maybes for Saturday.

?"We don't know if he'll be charged or if he's banned. We're not sure yet, they're still talking."??
