West Bromwich Albion have turned down an offer from Burnley for Craig Dawson.
The Clarets returned to Albion with an improved bid for the 24-year old defender after their initial overture of £1million was rejected last month.
Sky Sports suggests that Burnley's bid was waved away by the Baggies despite the fact that Dawson had handed in a transfer request.
Dawson, who had a loan spell with Bolton in 2013, is believed to be a required player for new Albion manager Alan Irvine who took the reins on Monday.
