West Bromwich Albion assistant manager Keith Downing admits Roy Hodgson's England appointment has unsettled the club.
Defensive ace Jonas Olsson has admitted his decision about whether to stay or not will hinge on who replaces Hodgson. That choice also seems to be crucial in their bid to make Birmingham keeper Ben Foster's loan deal permanent.
The futures of out-of-contract duo Keith Andrews and Jerome Thomas are also in the air.
Downing said: "It's been unsettling. There is a sense of uncertainty.
"Usually when a manager leaves it's through a sacking down to bad performances. This has been a success.
"To see someone go is strange and everyone feels a bit weird."
