West Bromwich Albion midfielder Liam O'Neil is delighted with his loan move to Scunthorpe United.
The young midfielder will spend four weeks with the League One club after his move was confirmed late last week.
"I can't wait to get started," said the 21-year-old to the WBA website.
"I found out last Monday that there was an interest. The gaffer pulled me into the office and urged me to go for it. I spoke to Mark Robins (Scunthorpe boss) on Thursday too. He said to go there and climb the league. He's recently appointed so he's looking to change their fortunes and philosophy.
"From my own point of view, I need games. I need to get sharper, get experience and League One will help me do that.
"The plan is to come back to Albion a better, more improved player to ensure I'm in the head coach's thoughts."
