West Brom are in talks with Udinese over a loan deal for Christian Obodo.

The Sunday Mercury says Albion hope that a loan fee of £250,000 could tempt Udinese to let Obodo move to The Hawthorns until May.

Udinese had been holding out for a permanent deal but no club has matched their £5m asking price.

Any loan deal Albion strike for Obodo is likely to be with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season - providing they stay in the Premier League.
