West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster has revealed new manager Pepe Mel already has a strong grasp of English.
Foster admits that the players were taken aback by just how well Mel was able to get his ideas across.
Foster said: "We had heard his language was going to be super-limited but he was fantastic.
"We were told his English wasn't great but on the very first day he sat in front of all the lads and conducted the whole meeting in English.
"He was brilliant. He almost got a round of applause. To stand up in front of 30 people and speak in a language that isn't your native tongue is pretty impressive."
