West Brom keeper Foster: Berahino deserves England call

West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Ben Foster is backing Saido Berahino.

Foster is currently the only Albion player in Roy Hodgson's squad but hopes that will change on Thursday when the coach announces the players he wants to face Slovenia and Scotland in the next fortnight.

"Everyone spoke to me about him," Foster said. "The coaches, Ray Lewington and Gary Neville, just asked me about him. They keep very close tabs on him anyway.

"Saido Berahino from two years ago when he was getting little injuries and niggles has completely turned it around.

"He is always in the gym and watches what he eats. His body fat is super low. He's always working on the training ground and it is nice to see because someone of that age it is very rare you see that.

"He's matured. He's always one of the first ones in. He will do a lot in the gym. He's like a man on the pitch now whereas a couple of years ago he was almost like a boy. It's good to see."
