West Bromwich Albion are showing considerable interest in Newcastle United midfielder Danny Guthrie.
The 25-year old had to deal with being a bit-part player last season with Yohan Cabaye and Cheick Tiote preferred in midfield and could be persuaded to leave Sports Direct Arena.
Despite having no manager at present, the Baggies are keen to get the ball rolling on their transfer targets with technical director Dan Ashworth keen on bringing Guthrie to The Hawthorns as they go about trying to finalise a deal for German tactician Ralf Rangnick.
