West Bromwich Albion have tabled a £5million offer for Tottenham defender Federico Fazio, according to reports from The Telegraph.

It is understood Spurs have agreed to accept West Brom's bid and all that is left is for Fazio to agree to personal terms, which is expected to be a mere formality.

The arrival of the 28-year-old Argentine will spark further speculation over the future of West Brom defender Joleon Lescott who has attracted interest from Aston Villa and Stoke City.
