West Brom fans will enjoy watching Rosenberg…when he gets in the team - Olsson

West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson believes Markus Rosenberg will have to be patient before he can make an impact for his new club.

The Swedish striker has made just one Premier League appearance since joining from Werder Bremen in the summer and his fellow countryman has urged him to take his chance when it comes before showing the Albion supporters see what he is capable of.

"Markus' first task will be to get in the team, which isn't easy," Olsson told the Birmingham Mail.

"I really feel that this year we have a great depth in the squad. You look at the bench and there are a lot of really good players on there.

"That is so important, because we all know it's a long season in England.

"Everybody will get their chance at some time and, when that chance comes, you have to take it."

He added: "I know him from the Swedish team, he's a really good player, he will bring a lot of good things to the team going forward, and the fans will enjoy watching him."
