Derby County are planning a bid for West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne.
The Birmingham Mail says Derby are ready to test West Brom's resolve with a big money offer for Thorne - with the midfielder emerging as their No.1 target.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a successful four-month loan spell in the East Midlands, playing a key role in the Rams' push for the play-offs.
