Tom Cleverley believes Aston Villa's West Midlands double over West Bromwich Albion can get their campaign back on track.
The Villans have produced a 2-1 Premier League win and a 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final triumph over their neighbours in the past week and midfielder Cleverley, who is on a season-long loan from Manchester United, feels it will give them impetus to push away from the relegation zone.
"The two results were just what we needed," he told the club's official website.
"We were obviously down after the Newcastle game (when losing 1-0 recently) because we strongly believed we deserved something out of it.
"But there was no better way to bounce back than getting two wins in the week against your local rivals.
"It was a massive week for us."
