West Bromwich Albion coach Keith Downing feels Chris Brunt is returning to his very best.
Brunt has started all-but two of the Baggies' Barclays Premier League games this term.
Downing told the WBA website: "I think Chris is a team player, I really do.
"He also works exceptionally hard every day in training. If he is judged to say he is not on his game, his work and his effort will certainly get him through a period where he is not so effective.
"You can look at Chris and say 'he's not a flying winger', but he plays an important role for what the head coach wants. Sometimes, that might not be as pleasing to the public as somebody who, say, goes past a player.
"But he's not in the team to do that. He's in the team to carry out other functions and I think he goes about his work diligently.
"He's an ultimate pro.""Without the ball, he works exceptionally hard.
