West Bromwich Albion are close to the appointment of Slaven Bilic as their next manager.

The former Croatia and West Ham boss has jumped to the head of the queuer for the position.

According to Sky Sports, there have been face to face meetings between Bilic and West Brom upper management.

The only issue that appears to remain is his salary, but it is suggested that the two sides are closing on an acceptable figure.

Bilic will be tasked with helping the Championship club gain promotion back to the Premier League next season.
